Kunal Pradhan Scholarship

Kunal was a young Tolkien enthusiast and very gifted young man who died in 2020 at age 25. In honour of his love for Tolkien, his mother has set up the first scholarship in his memory to help other young people.

‘I think Tolkien’s writing opened a whole new world of imagination for so many people. Given how Kunal worshipped Mr Tolkien’s writing, and since he was a very good writer himself, I would love to enable other people to write and follow in Tolkien’s footsteps. This will be a fitting memorial to Kunal who always appreciated creative writing.’
